6th International Conference on Magnetic Resonance Microscopy
"The Heidelberg Conference"
to be held at
The Jubilee Campus, University of Nottingham, Nottingham, UK.
from
Sunday 2nd to Wednesday 5th September, 2001
We are pleased to announce the continuation of the biennial series of International Heidelberg Conferences on Magnetic Resonance Microscopy to be held at the University of Nottingham, UK. The series is named following the tradition of meetings regularly reverting to the birthplace of the series in Heidelberg. Previous meetings have been held in Heidelberg, Germany (1991, 1993 and 1999) Würzburg, Germany (1995) and Albuquerque, NM, USA (1997),
The conferences are organized by the Spatially Resolved Magnetic Resonance Division of the Groupement AMPERE.
Venue:
The venue will be the new Jubilee Campus of the University of Nottingham. This campus, which is close to Nottingham city centre offers a large modern auditorium for lectures and accompanying foyer space for poster sessions and industrial exhibits. The campus has plenty of on-site accommodation for conference participants in en-suite (bathroom included) single rooms, as well as ample catering facilities for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Located at the heart of England, Nottingham is the cultural centre of the East Midlands. Nottingham is served by good rail links and the East Midlands Airport connects with many European cities.
Scope:
The conference will provide a congenial forum for discussion of the most recent advances in NMR microscopy and EPR techniques for imaging and localized spectroscopy and their application to chemistry, physics, biology, and medicine, as well as to materials and earth sciences.
Program:
The meeting will begin with an educational session on Sunday, September 2nd, 2001 which will cover a variety of technical aspects of MR imaging and applications. The conference will begin on Monday, 3rd and end on the evening of Wednesday, 5th September. The scientific program will include invited lectures, as well as oral and poster contributions selected from submitted abstracts. Young scientists are invited to enter a "Young Investigator Award" competition.
Commercial MR vendors are cordially invited to display and demonstrate their products.
There will also, of course, be time for cultural activities and a conference dinner.
